Halle Quang
Dr. Halle Quang is a researcher at the School of Health Sciences and the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney, Australia. She graduated top of her Psychology undergraduate program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Vietnam, then received a full scholarship for her PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
Research
Dr. Halle Quang's research explores the relationship between the brain and human behaviour, particularly in cultural context. Her work combines neuropsychological testing, surveys, interviews, and analysis of brain imaging and function. She collaborates with respected institutions worldwide and in Vietnam to advance research in the field and improve the quality of practice, aiming for tangible benefits for people with brain conditions and their families.
Her doctoral research, carried out in Vietnam, aimed to raise awareness in the community and medical teams about the behavioural and psychological problems that occur in people with traumatic brain injury. It became the first study from Vietnam to receive an Excellent Research award from the International Neuropsychological Society, and a foundation for much of the neuropsychology research that has followed in Vietnam.
Mission
Beyond science, Dr. Halle Quang conducts research with an eye toward social equity and community education. Through this website she is committed to sharing her knowledge with everyone. She is also the founder of A Brainy Chat, a non-profit organisation that builds knowledge about psychology and the brain so that everyone can learn and work more effectively and improve their quality of life.
